Novice & Open Working Tests held at Westfield Farm, Burdale Lane, Fimber by kind permission of the landowner, Mr Andrew Baxter. 5th June 2026.

The 7 & 8th events of 2026 VOYWR’ s Working Test season, a Novice Test followed by an Open, were held at the beautiful Farthings Vineyard at Westfield Farm, Fimber,- probably the only working test in the world held in a vineyard! It was a perfect weather, warm, dry & overcast with a good breeze; 28 Novice competitors, followed in the afternoon by a further by 29 Open ones were challenged by 3 interesting static Tests, and a “walk up” in the Novice with the challenge of a rem

Novice, open, and veteran working tests held at Bedale Grange, Wykeham. 10th May 2026.

Our second Working Tests for 2026 were held at Bedale Grange, Wykeham by kind permission of Mr James Stephenson on behalf of the Dawnay Estates. The judges were Paul Hasney (B Panel), Eden Parish, Brian Dodsworth and Phil Dyson. The weather was kind - bright but cool. The woodland, glades and stream at Wykeham all looked glorious and the judges set up some challenging retrieves for all 59 entries in the various categories. Report on Buskhill working tests held on 14/04/2026.

These were held at Buskhill Farm, by kind invitation of Elizabeth and James Needler. Judges were Phillipa Williams B Panel, Jemma Hendley, David Sidwell, and Andy Curtis. We were fortunate to have a total of 76 entries and on a lovely spring morning we started our long day with 13 Puppy competitors, followed by the Novice, and lastly the Open whose patient competitors had a long wait.
